Alfredo Duno becomes youngest home run hitter in LVBP season
Cincinnati Reds prospect Alfredo Duno made history in the Venezuelan Winter League (LVBP) by hitting his first home run of the season. Playing for Leones del Caracas, the 20-year-old drove the ball over the left field wall in the third inning during a game against Tigres de Aragua.
Duno is one of only three players to hit a home run in the LVBP while aged 20 or younger in the last three seasons, joining prospects Jaison Chourio and Jose Fernandez. Despite an initial struggle of going 0-for-11 in his first three games, Duno's performance marks a significant milestone in his development as he seeks more experience against older professional players.
