Alfredo Paniccia appointed head coach of Italy women's futsal team

Alfredo Paniccia has been appointed as the new head coach of the Italian women's national futsal team, succeeding Francesca Salvatore after her nine-year tenure. The decision was announced by the Futsal Division in coordination with FIGC President Giovanni Malagò and Division President Stefano Castiglia.

Paniccia, born in 1986, brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as an assistant coach for the Italian men's national team and winning the Division Cup with L84 Torino. The new leadership aims to strengthen the team's development and prepare for the 2027 European Championship.

FIGC President Malagò expressed gratitude to Salvatore for elevating the team to a competitive international level, while Castiglia noted that Paniccia's profile aligns with the federation's goals of technical competence and youth development.
