Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla calls for judicial focus in Carlos Manzo homicide case

Michoacán Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla has called for a distinction between the electoral process and the judicial investigation into the homicide of Carlos Manzo. This statement follows a formal request by the State Attorney General's Office to Grecia Quiroz for the handover of Manzo's mobile phones to expand the inquiry.

Bedolla emphasized that the investigation is a “360-degree” process aimed at uncovering the truth, noting that while an individual has been identified as having given the order, the underlying motive remains to be clarified. He maintained that the legal proceedings must continue without obstruction, regardless of the political implications or the upcoming electoral landscape.
