Alfredo Zegarra reports highest campaign spending in Arequipa

Alfredo Zegarra Tejada, candidate for the Arequipa Regional Government representing Fuerza Arequipeña, has reported the highest campaign expenditure among 14 candidates, totaling 223,891 soles. According to financial reports submitted to the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE), his entire declared income consists of in-kind contributions.

These contributions include items such as banners, flags, transport services, and advertising materials. Notable donors include regional council candidates and recurring suppliers from the Yarabamba Municipality. For instance, one contributor provided 200 banners valued at 30,000 soles, while another provided 30,000 advertising bags valued at 33,000 soles. Some contributors are also identified as individuals who have previously held contracts with local municipal administrations.
