Algarve CCDR hosts Al‑Bauhaus Dream Academy and 40‑Year Portugal‑EU Celebration

The Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) of the Algarve organized two major cultural events in mid‑2024. In Faro, the Al‑Bauhaus Dream Academy took place on 11‑12 June as part of the Bauhaus Festival, gathering about 500 participants, more than 40 partner organisations and five municipalities. The programme highlighted the New European Bauhaus principles of beauty, sustainability and inclusivity, featuring talks on sustainability, territorial futures and creativity, with CCDR officials Bruno Inácio and José Brito actively involved.

On 8 July, CCDR Algarve hosted a conference titled “From Community to Union — 40 years of Portugal European” in Faro, featuring former euro‑deputy Carlos Coelho who reflected on Portugal’s EU journey and future challenges. The same day Coelho inaugurated the official exhibition “Portugal and Europe: 40 Years of Shared Progress” in Loulé, which will remain on display until 31 July.
