AlgarveCon brings over 600 board games to Faro
The 8th edition of AlgarveCon will take place in Faro on October 3 and 4 at the facilities of the Regional Directorate of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ). Organized by the Associação Sê Mais Sê Melhor and the Clube MTG de Olhão, the event features a library of over 600 modern board games available for visitors of all ages and experience levels.
The program includes tabletop role-playing games (TTRPG), workshops, an escape room, tournaments, and a second-hand game market. Additionally, the convention will host collectible card game areas, Beyblade activities, artisan stalls, and demonstrations of new titles. Following a previous edition that drew over 800 participants, organizers aim to promote inclusion and intergenerational social interaction through geek culture.
