Algeciras and Monclova implement local infrastructure and safety upgrades
In Algeciras, Spain, the local government is upgrading the water pressure system at the Puerta del Mar public school. The project involves an investment of 4,698.19 euros to install two new pumps with variable speed controllers, replacing outdated equipment to better serve the largest public school in the province of Cádiz.
This initiative is part of the 2026 Public School Improvement Plan, which has a total budget of 2.4 million euros dedicated to the maintenance and conservation of public educational facilities in the city.
In Monclova, Mexico, the Civil Protection and Fire Department has acquired new specialized equipment, including an air compressor for refilling breathing apparatus. Department director Pedro Alvarado stated that this tool, previously unavailable in the city, improves firefighting efficiency and enhances safety for personnel by ensuring a steady supply of respiratory equipment during interventions in high-temperature or smoke-filled environments.
