Algeciras Port Authority tenders docking system renovations

The Algeciras Bay Port Authority has launched a tender to renovate the docking systems at the Isla Verde Exterior pier, specifically within phase B. The estimated value of the contract is 2,380,165.29 euros, excluding VAT, with a total tender budget of 2.88 million euros including taxes.

The project focuses on the final stretch of the Isla Verde Exterior East pier, between bollards 26 and 60. Inspections revealed that 26 out of 28 fenders have reached or exceeded their useful life and require replacement. Additionally, nine of the 41 bollards in the area show damage necessitating replacement, while others will undergo cleaning and corrosion protection.

This intervention follows work completed in 2025 during phase A of the Isla Verde Exterior terminal at TTI Algeciras. The upgrades are intended to accommodate the increasing dimensions and capacity of vessels utilizing the terminal. Interested companies have until October 8, 2026, to submit their offers.
