Algemesí’s Festa de la Mare de Déu de la Salut 2026 Schedule Released

The Patronato de la Festa has published the official programme for the 2026 edition of the Festa de la Mare de Déu de la Salut in Algemesí, Spain. Designated by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2011, the two‑week celebration runs from 29 August to 13 September and includes daily religious, cultural and traditional activities. Highlights feature the Novenario, open rehearsals of historic dances such as the Muixeranga, the Nit del Retorn, and the major processions on 7 and 8 September, which culminate in the Processó de Volta General. Smaller events throughout the period let visitors experience the city's centuries‑old customs before the main festivities reach their peak.

The programme details specific timings for the solemn Mass, aerial mascletà, the Processó de les Promeses on the eve, and the grand Processó de la Mare de Déu, ensuring thousands of participants can follow the heritage rituals that attract visitors from across the Valencian Community and beyond.
