Algeria activates emergency aid for wildfire victims

Algerian Minister of Housing, Urbanism, and the City, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, has initiated emergency measures to assist families affected by recent wildfires. During a coordination meeting, Belaribi ordered the acceleration of technical assessments, the disbursement of financial aid, and the rehabilitation of damaged housing and public infrastructure.

A specific roadmap has been established, which includes doubling the number of engineers from the Construction Technical Control (CTC) in affected areas within 72 hours to expedite damage evaluations. Additionally, housing directors have been tasked with urgently preparing decisions for financial aid, which will be distributed by the National Housing Bank (BNH).

Reinforced human resources will also be deployed for the immediate cleaning and restoration of damaged structures. These actions follow directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who has expressed a firm commitment to addressing the tragedy and supporting the nation through the crisis.
