Algeria and Russia discuss new investment opportunities

Omar Rekkache, Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), met via videoconference with Ahmed Azimov, President of the Algerian-Russian Business Council, to discuss investment opportunities in Algeria.

The meeting aimed to implement a joint work program to promote Algeria’s assets and attract high-value-added projects. Key sectors identified for potential investment include agriculture, energy, renewable energy, industry, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.

Preparations are also underway for an ‘Algeria Day’ to be held alongside the Africa-Russia Summit and Economic Forum in Moscow at the end of October. During the discussions, Azimov noted that Russian companies have expressed interest in investing in Algeria, emphasizing the importance of technology transfer and expertise exchange.
