Algeria and Tunisia advance administrative and social security reforms

In Algeria, Minister of Labor, Employment, and Social Security Mohamed Hattab has outlined new priorities for CACOBATPH, the national fund for paid leave and unemployment due to bad weather in the construction, public works, and hydraulics sectors. Key objectives include reducing file processing times, improving contribution collection, and accelerating digitalization to better serve a mobile workforce.

In Tunisia, the Presidency of the Government reported that the administrative simplification program is approximately 70% complete. The initiative aims to simplify 2,250 administrative procedures between 2025 and 2027, with a goal to partially or fully digitize 80% of these processes. Additionally, the government plans to establish 68 new digital service centers by 2030 to improve public access to services.
