Algeria distributes thousands of housing units in Skikda and Khenchela
To mark the 72nd anniversary of the November 1st Revolution, several Algerian provinces are conducting major housing distributions.
In Skikda, authorities are allocating 2,042 housing units across various programs. The province is currently working through a broader program of 100,276 units, of which 62% are already completed. Additionally, significant funds have been mobilized for the rehabilitation of old buildings in Skikda's old town, with one allocation of 150 billion centimes dedicated to restoring degraded buildings.
In Khenchela, more than 1,500 housing units and construction aids will be distributed. This includes public rental housing (LPL), aided promotional housing (LPA), rural construction assistance, and social subdivision lots. Local officials have emphasized field inspections to ensure all new units are properly connected to essential utility networks, including water and electricity, before handover.
