Algeria evaluates national vehicle registration system

Algeria’s Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Saïd Sayoud, has called for immediate corrective measures to address disruptions in the National Vehicle Registration Information System (SINIV).

During a working session with regulatory and general affairs directors from several wilayas, the minister ordered a precise diagnostic of the system’s technical and organizational shortcomings. The goal is to identify the causes of current malfunctions and implement solutions to ensure optimal service for citizens.

Sayoud emphasized that improving the system requires enhanced coordination between central and local administrative services. He advocated for regular meetings and a faster flow of information from local levels to central authorities to ensure that difficulties are reported and resolved promptly. The digital system is intended to modernize public services, simplify administrative procedures, and bring the administration closer to the public.
