Algeria expands air links to Spain and Egypt

Low‑cost carrier Volotea announced the opening of a seasonal Murcia‑Alger route beginning on 28 November 2026, with two weekly flights using Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline also confirmed a Valencia‑Alger service slated to start later in 2026 and become regular from March 2027, reinforcing its focus on the Spain‑Algeria market.

State carrier Air Algérie operated its first direct charter flight between Algiers and the Red Sea resort of Hurghada, Egypt, providing a new nonstop option for Algerian tourists. The charter service is part of Air Algérie’s effort to expand seasonal tourist connections and respond to rising demand for Mediterranean and Red Sea destinations.
