Algeria to begin AADL 3 housing distributions on November 1
Algerian Minister of Housing, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, has announced that the first keys for the AADL 3 rent-to-own housing program will be distributed starting November 1, 2026. This date coincides with the 72nd anniversary of the outbreak of the Liberation Revolution.
The announcement was made during a strategic national meeting in Algiers to evaluate current housing programs and prepare for upcoming large-scale distributions. The AADL 3 initiative is being implemented across 47 urban poles in 38 wilayas, covering more than 30,000 hectares. The initial phase focuses on 16 poles, which have a planned capacity of 493,559 housing units, including an initial tranche of over 109,000 AADL 3 units.
This rollout follows a massive distribution operation on July 5, which provided 179,168 housing units and aids to various beneficiaries. The ministry aims to use these urban poles to reduce pressure on major cities and ensure new neighborhoods are equipped with necessary local infrastructure and public services.
