Algeria women's handball team wins Mediterranean Games opener

The Algerian women's national handball team secured a decisive victory in their opening match at the Mediterranean Games in Taranto. Facing Kosovo, the Algerian side trailed 15-13 at halftime after a closely contested first period.

Following the break, the team improved their defensive organization and offensive fluidity. Algeria dominated the second half, scoring 20 goals to secure a 35-20 win and a 15-goal margin.
