Algerian 3x3 basketball teams head to Taranto Mediterranean Games

The Algerian national 3x3 basketball teams, both men and women, are preparing to compete in the Mediterranean Games in Taranto from August 29 to September 1. The men's team enters the tournament following a successful African campaign, which included winning the U23 3x3 Nations League in Monastir and securing a historic qualification for the upcoming World Championships in China.

Led by Merouane Bouachir, the men's team maintained first place in the general standings with 480 points. For the Mediterranean Games, the Algerian men have been placed in Group A, facing competition from Cyprus, Croatia, and Slovenia.
