Algerian authorities are intensifying field monitoring of priority development projects across various wilayas to ensure infrastructure is operational ahead of the social season restart. Following instructions from the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport, Saïd Sayoud, walis are conducting site visits and coordination meetings to accelerate progress and resolve bottlenecks in essential sectors including housing, health, education, water resources, urban planning, and roads.

In Oran, Wali Ibrahim Ouchene presided over a coordination meeting to review the progress of socio-economic development programs. The session focused on the implementation of municipal support programs, the 2026 provincial budget projects, and the utilization of the Guarantee and Solidarity Fund for local authorities. Discussions also emphasized environmental protection, with specific instructions for coastal municipalities to prioritize beach and road cleanliness to maintain public hygiene.
