Algerian Consulate to hold mobile service day in Istres

The Consulate of Algeria in Marseille has announced a mobile consular service day in Istres, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026. The initiative aims to bring administrative services closer to Algerian nationals residing in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, reducing the need to travel to Marseille.

Located at the LCR room of Prépaou, the event will offer five categories of services starting at 10:00 AM. These include biometric passport enrollment, the collection of previously ordered passports or identity cards, the establishment of powers of attorney, the issuance of military cards and deferments, and the delivery of criminal records.

Specific requirements apply for certain procedures. For biometric passport enrollment, complete renewal files must be sent by mail no later than Wednesday, September 9, 2026. To collect documents, applicants must present their original receipts. For criminal records, an extract of a birth certificate and a copy of an identity document or passport are required. Payments for stamp duties must be made via bank card.
