Algerian consulates in France announce passport service updates

Algerian consulates in France have announced specific procedures for biometric passport services as demand increases ahead of the end-of-year holidays.

The Consulate of Nantes will hold a special session in Laval on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. This session is not for new applications but is reserved for biometric data registration, the collection of passports and national identity cards, and the distribution of national service exemption cards and certificates. Users must register before 9:00 AM on Friday, September 25, to collect documents.

Other regional updates include the Metz consulate, which is accepting applications both with and without appointments, and the Paris consulate, which remains the only location offering fully online passport renewals.
