Algerian Football Federation pursues new talent and inclusive selection policy

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) is actively working to strengthen its national teams by recruiting young dual-national talents. Officials have expressed optimism regarding the potential recruitment of two young players from Olympique Lyonnais, Adil Hamdani and Khalis Merah. Recent discussions with the players' families and entourages have provided encouraging signals, suggesting that representing Algeria remains an open option for both athletes.

Following his appointment as head coach, Ibrahim Hamdani has emphasized a policy of inclusivity, stating that the doors to the national selection remain open. His recent 26-player squad reflects a transitional phase, featuring the return of several players while maintaining the possibility of future call-ups for those currently absent, provided they meet the technical criteria of the coaching staff.
