Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf Holds Bilateral Talks in Amman on Arab Cooperation
Algerian Minister of State and Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf conducted a series of bilateral meetings in Amman, Jordan. He met Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to review and strengthen Algeria‑Turkey relations, agreeing to reactivate joint cooperation mechanisms such as the Joint Planning Committee and the High‑Level Strategic Cooperation Council. Attaf also held talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty, praising the positive dynamics of Algeria‑Egypt ties and planning a follow‑up of the joint commission that monitors recommendations from their mixed commission. In a separate meeting, he conferred with Arab League Secretary‑General Nabil Fahmy, reaffirming Algeria’s support for the League’s action plan and coordination of Arab initiatives, especially concerning the Sahel and the Middle East.
