Algerian internationals Abdelli and Zorgane suffer injuries during international break

Several players have sustained injuries during the international break while representing the Algerian national team.

Olympique de Marseille midfielder Himad Abdelli suffered a left ankle injury during Algeria’s 2-2 draw against Burundi in a CAN 2027 qualifier. Although he was seen using crutches following the match, Abdelli has since shared images on social media walking without assistance in Algiers, providing a reassuring sign for his club ahead of the Ligue 1 restart.

Additionally, Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder Adem Zorgane has been released from the Algerian squad to return to Brussels for treatment. The Algerian Football Federation confirmed that Zorgane sustained an injury during the match against Burundi and will miss the upcoming friendly against Niger to undergo rehabilitation with his club.
