Algerian national sports teams begin preparations for continental competitions

The Algerian national boxing team has begun a new preparation cycle for the African Boxing Championships, scheduled to take place in Kinshasa from October 13 to 31. Following the Mediterranean Games in Taranto, the team is currently undergoing a training camp at the Fouka national team regrouping center in Tipasa. National coach Khaled Harima stated that the training focuses on physical conditioning, technical-tactical work, recovery, endurance, and psychological preparation, emphasizing a progressive approach to prevent injuries.

In football, the Algerian U23 national team is preparing for an international tour in South Africa to face the Bafana Bafana U23 side in two friendly matches on October 1 and 4 in Durban. However, striker Mohamed El Amine Ramdaoui will miss the tour due to a persistent injury. To replace him, USM Alger has called up Mohamed Boudrebala to join the squad under coach Rafik Saïfi.
