Algeria's Grand Prix d'Alger upgrades to UCI 2.2 category

The Grand Prix d'Alger has transitioned to the UCI 2.2 category, a significant upgrade that allows performances to be officially recorded in the UCI international ranking system.

This change provides Algerian cycling teams with a vital opportunity to accumulate international points. Such results are increasingly important as athletes prepare for major upcoming events, including the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. By competing at home against international competition, national teams aim to improve their standing within the global cycling hierarchy.
