Alghero celebrates sailing regatta and summer music festival

On July 26, Alghero hosted the fourth stage of the Vento de l'Alguer sailing competition, the XXIII Trofeo MA.C.I, with over 30 boats competing in ORC, Derive (Laser and Snipe) and the new Veleggiata Akènta. The event highlighted the partnership between the Lega Navale Italiana Sezione di Alghero and local clubs, promoting maritime culture and responsible navigation. Pietro Delogu’s Macassar won the overall trophy in the ORC class.

The city also continued its successful Alghero Summer Festival, now in its fifth edition, featuring performances by Litfiba on August 1, Fiorella Mannoia on August 2, and comedian Giorgio Panariello on August 3. The festival blends music, culture and local heritage, attracting audiences to the Anfiteatro Ivan Graziani and reinforcing Alghero’s role as a summer cultural hub.
