Alghero completes installation of new playgrounds in local districts

The administration of Alghero has completed a series of installations to create new playgrounds and social spaces for children in several local districts. The project included the completion of a new playground in Maristella, marking the final of four planned interventions. Other areas benefiting from these new facilities include Sa Segada, Santa Maria La Palma, and Guardia Grande.

Mayor Raimondo Cacciotto stated that the initiative fulfills an electoral commitment to ensure that every neighborhood and district has equipped parks located near residential areas. The goal is to provide children with accessible locations to play and socialize outdoors.

In addition to new installations, the municipality is conducting ongoing maintenance and safety checks on existing play areas. Following annual inspections by the Maintenance Office, specialized contractors have been tasked with ensuring the safety and usability of current equipment.
