Alghero councilor criticizes rising waste tax bills

Pais highlighted a perceived discrepancy between the increased tax burden and the quality of waste collection services, which he described as insufficient during the summer season due to high tourism. He also expressed concern regarding the social impact on vulnerable groups, such as pensioners and single-person households, and criticized the use of bank account seizures for unpaid bills, describing the practice as a 'silent social butchery'.
