Alghero launches newborn bonus for 2025

The municipality of Alghero has announced the “Bonus Nuovi Nati – Sostegno alla Natalità e alle Famiglie,” a financial support measure aimed at families with children born in 2025. The initiative is funded by 112,000 euros from the municipal budget.

To qualify, children must be born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025, and must be residents of Alghero. Applicants must be parents or legal guardians and possess a valid 2026 ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) value not exceeding 30,000 euros. Applications can be submitted from October 21 until November 20.

The political group Prima Alghero expressed satisfaction with the measure, noting it was championed by councilor Massimiliano Fadda and approved unanimously by the City Council. The group has called for the program to become a permanent, structural policy for the city.
