Alghero: Man arrested for violating restraining order

A man was arrested in Alghero, Sardinia, for violating a court-ordered restraining order. The individual, who was prohibited from approaching his former partner or her frequented locations within a 1,000-meter radius, was discovered by police near the Lazzaretto Tower.

Officers located the man partially hidden in vegetation, less than 200 meters from the cove where the victim was located. Authorities noted his behavior appeared to be that of an observer rather than a recreational visitor. He had reportedly been flagged earlier the same day for a similar presence near the victim. The man was arrested for violating precautionary measures and for stalking behaviors.
