Sardinia faces political tension and transport uncertainty

Sardinia is facing political and logistical instability. In the regional council, political tension has risen following a vote of no confidence against Labor Assessor Manca. Paolo Truzzu, leader of Fratelli d'Italia, has criticized Regional President Alessia Todde for her silence regarding the decision, suggesting internal conflicts within the majority, particularly involving the Five Star Movement.

Simultaneously, the region is grappling with uncertainty regarding territorial continuity. Michele Pais, a local councilor, has warned that essential mobility rights are at risk due to the uncertain future of the Alghero-Milano Linate flight route. Following a failed tender process and European Commission sanctions regarding timing, the region is attempting to secure bridge solutions to prevent service gaps.

In Calabria, travelers are protesting the suspension of the direct Sibari-Bolzano Frecciarossa service. Due to scheduled railway network maintenance from December 13 to January 31, the direct connection will be lost, forcing commuters and families to navigate multiple transfers during the peak holiday season.
