Pesaro-Urbino PD expresses concern over mafia infiltration in earthquake reconstruction

The provincial assembly of the Democratic Party (PD) in Pesaro-Urbino has expressed serious concern regarding potential mafia infiltration within post-earthquake reconstruction efforts. This follows a judicial investigation that resulted in eight arrests, over fifty suspects, and seizures exceeding 57 million euros.

Marco Perugini, the provincial secretary, has called on the regional government to provide clarifications regarding administrative appointments and the adequacy of oversight. The PD is demanding greater transparency and legality to protect the reconstruction process and the livelihoods of workers involved in the construction sites. The party also emphasized the need to maintain public trust in institutions within the earthquake-affected territories.
