Alghero-Scala Piccada hill climb and AC Racing events set for weekend

The Super-CIVM Championship continues this weekend in Sardinia with the penultimate round, the 64th Alghero-Scala Piccada. The event features a course of approximately 5km, where 20-time Italian hill climb champion Simone Faggioli is a top favorite driving a Nova NP 01-2 C Judd.

Other notable competitors include Mirko Torsellini, debuting a new Nova NP 01-2 C Honda Turbo, and Sicilian driver Franco Caruso in a Nova NP 01-2 C Zytek. Achille Lombardi is also expected to compete in the classic event.

Simultaneously, AC Racing Technology will participate in racing events across Sardinia and Tuscany. In Tuscany, the team will compete at the Mugello circuit with drivers Daniele Carminati and Alberto Cioffi in Mini models. In Alghero, the team's presence includes Alessio Cuccheddu in a Mini RSTB2.0, Marco Ballerini in a Peugeot 308 Cup, and Rosario Parrino in a Porsche 911 GT Cup. This weekend also marks the Racing Weekend debut for 17-year-old Mattia Abate, driving a Mini Cooper Evo Cup.
