Alghero student Mia Idili named finalist in national drawing championship

Mia Idili, a student from Alghero, has become a finalist in the third edition of the National Technical Drawing Championship. Her entry, titled ‘La Llumera de l’Alguer: cupola maiolicata della Chiesa di San Michele’, features the majolica dome of the Church of San Michele, a landmark designed in 1950 by architect Antonio Simon Mossa and painter Filippo Figari.

The championship, themed ‘Geometries of the territory: Italian heritage in pencil tip’, is scheduled to take place in Rieti on October 24, 2026. Finalist projects that highlight the cultural and artistic heritage of their respective provinces are currently on display at the Palazzo Vescovile in Rieti from October 5 to October 25, 2026. The competition includes a social media vote for a ‘social prize’ alongside a quality jury selection for the most significant works.
