Žalgiris defeats Juventus 82:77 in preseason basketball friendly

Kaunas Žalgiris defeated Utena Juventus 82:77 in their second preseason friendly basketball match held at the Žalgiris Arena. The game featured various players, including Sabenas Lee, who made an impressive debut with two penetrations, and Jonas Valančiūnas, who contributed significantly to the scoring.

Head coach Tomas Masiulis noted that the primary goal of these matches is to manage player workloads and integrate returning players. He expressed satisfaction with the team's defensive performance in the second and fourth quarters. Masiulis also confirmed that national team players Ažuolas Tubelis, Mareks Blaževičs, and Maodo Lo are expected to join the squad following a rest day.

Žalgiris is scheduled to play another preseason match this Sunday against Baku Sabah from Azerbaijan.
