Basketball club Žalgiris Kaunas has announced a record budget for the 2026–2027 season, with projected revenues reaching 26.8 million euros. This represents a 23.5 percent increase from the previous season's 21.7 million euro budget.

Revenue sources are expected to include 11.3 million euros from ticket sales, 8 million euros from partners and advertising, 3.9 million euros from television rights and sports bonuses, 3 million euros from the Kaunas municipality, and 0.6 million euros from player transfers.

Total planned expenditures are set at 28.8 million euros. The largest portion, 19.7 million euros, is allocated to player and coaching staff salaries. Other expenses include 1 million euros for the youth team, 5.5 million euros for operations and other teams, and 2.6 million euros for general and administrative costs. Club president Paulius Jankūnas noted that the budget should place Žalgiris between 12th and 14th among EuroLeague teams. The club's primary sporting goals include winning the EuroLeague, the Lithuanian championship, and the King Mindaugas Cup.
