Žalgiris Kaunas concludes preseason as LKL season approaches

Kauno Žalgiris concluded its preseason training cycle with a decisive 86:55 victory over Wroclaw’s Slask. Following the match, player Ąžuolas Tubelis praised the team's ability to execute coaching instructions and noted the positive performance of Deividas Sirvydis. However, head coach Tomas Masiulis expressed concerns regarding team discipline, noting that while physical conditioning has improved, the team still struggles with individual play rather than cohesive movement.

The Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) is set to begin its new season on September 17, featuring ten teams following the addition of Tauragė. Due to an earlier EuroLeague schedule, the season will start sooner than usual, with Žalgiris Kaunas opening against Gargždai. The regular season is scheduled to conclude in mid-May, leading into the playoffs.
