Žalgiris Kaunas secures narrow 80:76 victory over Nevėžis

Kaunas Žalgiris secured a narrow 80:76 victory against Nevėžis-Paskolų klubas in the LKL. Despite the win, head coach Tomas Masiulis praised the opposition, noting that Nevėžis played intelligently and utilized their defensive opportunities effectively.

Masiulis attributed the difficulty of the match to a lack of offensive freshness following recent travel and a tendency to underestimate opponents. He highlighted the positive character shown by bench players who stepped up during the game.

The team continues to manage roster challenges, including the absence of Jonas Valančiūnas and Carsen Edwards, while monitoring the fitness of Nigel Williams-Goss and Ažuolas Tubelis ahead of their upcoming matchup against Fenerbahçe.
