Žalgiris Kaodiric Akobundu‑Ehiogu EuroCup Nigerian center basketball signing

Žalgiris completed its frontcourt by signing 26‑year‑old Nigerian center Kaodiric Akobundu‑Ehiogu on a one‑year contract with an option for a second season. He previously played for Cedevita Olimpija and spent the 2025‑26 season with Manresa in the EuroCup, averaging 4.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 13 minutes per game, and also appeared in the NBA Summer League with the Dallas Mavericks. Sports director Gediminas Navickas said the player brings a different skill set and the club wanted to secure him before the market closed. The signing gives Žalgiris a specialist rim‑protector ahead of the upcoming EuroCup campaign.
