Algodoneros de Guasave compete in Copa Gobernadora and charity matches

In recent baseball matchups in Sinaloa, the Algodoneros de Guasave faced both the Venados de Mazatlán and the Cañeros de Los Mochis in games featuring charitable components.

In the conclusion of the 2026 Copa Gobernadora held at the Alberto Vega Chávez stadium in Guamúchil, the Algodoneros and Venados de Mazatlán played to a 2-2 tie. The game saw scoring from Héctor Jacquez and Juan Mora for Mazatlán, while Guasave responded with runs driven in by Kristian Delgado and Víctor Rodríguez.

In a separate ‘Juego con Causa’ organized to benefit the PANNASIR DIF AHOME program, the Cañeros de Los Mochis defeated the Algodoneros de Guasave 4-3 at Chevron Park. Mario Gómez secured the victory for the Cañeros with a decisive hit in the final inning after the bases were loaded. This victory followed an eighth-inning home run by Albert Lara that had briefly tied the game for Guasave.
