Algorand (ALGO) Rises on Institutional Liquidity Deal and Record Validator Count
Algorand’s native token ALGO has rallied about 14% over the past week, trading near $0.09 with a market cap of roughly $814 billion. Technical analysis points to a double‑bottom pattern and a potential bullish reversal, with the next resistance level identified around $0.14‑$0.15.
The surge follows a strategic partnership between the Algorand Foundation and Flow Traders, which will supply 24/7 institutional liquidity, OTC execution and stable‑coin settlement for ALGO. The deal is expected to deepen market liquidity and attract more institutional investors, especially as the network’s real‑world asset ecosystem processes millions of tokenized transactions.
Algorand also reported a record validator count of about 1,540, placing it among the most decentralized blockchains. This growth enhances network security and supports its expanding role in AI‑powered, agentic payments via the x402 protocol.
