Algés homicide: Child Support Institute criticizes state protection

The Child Support Institute (Instituto de Apoio à Criança) has criticized the state for failing to protect minors following a homicide in Algés, where a child witnessed her mother's death.

The institute stated that the state “failed everything” regarding the protection of children in vulnerable situations. The future of the four-year-old girl involved in the incident is expected to be determined this coming Tuesday.
