Alhaji Amadu Juldeh Sowe has been elected President, also known as Lamido, of Tabital Pulaaku International (TPI). The election concluded on September 27, 2026, during the TPI General Assembly held at the Kairaba Beach Hotel in The Gambia.

Sowe, who previously served as the President of the Tabital Pulaaku Sierra Leone Chapter, won the position following a contested process. His candidacy was centered on a five-point agenda emphasizing unity, economic empowerment, transparent leadership, global cooperation, and cultural preservation. He aims to unite Pulaaku communities across different borders and generations while upholding core values such as munyal (patience), hakille (sense), semteende (reserve), and ndottore (dignity).

Tabital Pulaaku International serves as the global umbrella organization for the Fulbe people—also referred to as Fula, Fulani, or Peulh—an ethnic group comprising over 40 million people across more than 15 countries. The non-political organization focuses on promoting the Fulfulde language, education, peace, and cultural heritage. Sowe’s election is noted as a historic moment for Sierra Leone, marking a recent instance of the country producing a global leader for the Fulbe community.
