Alhama de Murcia police operation leads to four arrests

A joint police operation in Alhama de Murcia resulted in four arrests and numerous citations during a security deployment on Friday, September 25. The operation involved 41 officers from the Local Police, Civil Guard, and National Police, alongside canine units, immigration officials, and labor inspectors.

Authorities inspected eleven establishments, including bars and betting shops. The results included thirteen reports for drug possession and ten for minor immigration violations. Additionally, four establishments faced proposed sanctions: two for allowing drug consumption on their premises and two for allowing smoking indoors.

Mayor Rosa Sánchez stated that these controls will continue periodically in other public spaces and venues to ensure local security, noting that the deployment will be expanded through the Alhama 2026 Fair.
