Alhaurín de la Torre hosts inaugural table tennis open

The first Alhaurín de la Torre Table Tennis Open has commenced at the Carranque Sports Court, drawing approximately 60 players for its inaugural day. The opening session was dedicated to federated players, featuring high-level matches.

The tournament is scheduled to continue with a second session on Monday, which is open to non-federated players and enthusiasts, with over 50 participants already registered. This event is one of the first major competitions organized by the recently established Alhaurín de la Torre Table Tennis Club.

Local sports official Sergio Cortés noted that the addition of the new club expands the sporting disciplines available in the municipality, which currently includes skating, volleyball, netball, and table tennis at the Carranque facilities.
