Ali Abbas Zafar marks 15 years of directorial debut ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’

Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar is celebrating the 15th anniversary of his directorial debut, ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. To mark the occasion, Zafar shared a nostalgic poster on social media, reflecting on his 15-year journey in filmmaking and noting that a first film always holds a special place in a director's heart.

Released in 2011, the film follows a romantic comedy plot involving Kush Agnihotri (played by Imran Khan), who is tasked with finding a bride for his brother, Love Agnihotri (played by Ali Zafar). The story takes a dramatic turn when Kush falls in love with the woman he is meant to find for his brother, Dimple Dixit (played by Katrina Kaif).

The film featured a cast including Tara Desूजा, Parikshit Sahni, and Kanwaljit Singh, along with a cameo by John Abraham. It was noted for its popular soundtrack, including tracks such as ‘Dhunki’ and ‘Ishq Risk’.
