Ali Ahmeti faces criticism over Artan Grubi legal case

Political opposition parties VLEN and Vredi have criticized Ali Ahmeti regarding his stance on the ongoing judicial proceedings against Artan Grubi. The parties claim that Ahmeti’s recent assertions of Grubi’s innocence are a political gamble that may inadvertently lead to a conviction.

According to VLEN, Ahmeti has shifted his position from previously suggesting Grubi should be held accountable if he abused trust to now claiming he is entirely innocent. The opposition argues that this public pressure on the judiciary is counterproductive, especially since Grubi is a person on the United States’ blacklist. They suggest that Ahmeti may be attempting to protect himself or is making a strategic sacrifice to pave a path back to power following the Democratic Union for Integration’s (DUI) poor performance in local elections.
