Ali Alkan challenges Kayseri Chamber of Commerce leadership

Ali Alkan, a candidate for the presidency of the Kayseri Chamber of Commerce (KTO), has filed formal complaints with the Kayseri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Trade, and the District Election Board regarding the upcoming elections.

Alkan alleges that the current administration is preventing fair competition by withholding and altering updated member lists, including professional committee details and addresses. He claims this lack of transparency violates the Chamber's Operating Regulations, which require such lists to be published on the official website to serve as a member guide and facilitate trade.

Alkan criticized the current leadership for failing to make progress over the last eight years, accusing them of obstructing trade by preventing businesspeople from accessing vital sectoral data. He noted that other chambers, such as those in Istanbul and Bursa, maintain transparency by publishing comprehensive member information online.
