Ali Asgari promotes ‘Un po' di luce’ during Italian film tour

Iranian director Ali Asgari is touring Italy to promote his latest film, ‘Un po' di luce’ (A Little Light), which premiered at the 83rd Venice Film Festival. The film is scheduled for theatrical release in Italy starting October 1, with stops in cities including Rome, Milan, Bologna, Florence, and Naples.

Set against a backdrop of political repression and the threat of war in Iran, the story follows an Iranian doctor who loses his medical practice after treating protesters. Facing despair and contemplating suicide, the protagonist finds a renewed sense of hope through connections with his family. Asgari, known for ‘Kafka a Teheran’, noted that the film explores how people continue to find small moments of resilience despite economic difficulties and the constant shadow of conflict.
